Anthropic’s Usage Policy, effective Nov 12, 2026, adds a resale/proxy prohibition to its “Do Not Abuse Our Platform” list: “Resell, proxy, or otherwise provide access to Claude through unauthorized means, including services that route requests through consumer subscriptions or misrepresent the product or client being used.” The clause is new in this version — the policy in force before it (effective September 15, 2025) contained no resale, reseller-access or proxy wording at all, only a reference to “authorized resellers or passthrough access” in its scope paragraph. It bears on the consumer subscriptions tracked here (Pro, Max 5x, Max 20x), whose access Anthropic grants to the account holder. Anthropic states the rule and nothing more: the policy does not say what it means for a subscriber running their own subscription through a third-party client, and no vendor clarification is published, so no harness-level reading is recorded. No plan price, cap, roster or per-token rate moves.
