Site correction: the two lower ChatGPT Pro tiers carried a “5× Plus” / “20× Plus” usage claim that no OpenAI source publishes. Its Pro help article — loaded in a real browser on 2026-10-15, the page date stamped three days earlier — describes three tiers named Pro 100 ($100), Pro 200 ($200) and Pro 500 ($500) and states only their relative ordering: “Pro 200 includes more usage than Pro 100. Pro 500 offers the highest included usage of the three plans.” The pricing page Pro card now reads “Your choice of 3 usage tiers” where the 2026-09-13 read said “5x more usage”, and the Codex docs page publishes no Pro-relative multiplier at all — the only multipliers it states are speed modes (Fast at 2.5× and Ultrafast at 8× of included usage, 6× of credits). Both records now carry OpenAI’s tier names and that published ordering, and the unsourced stored multipliers were dropped rather than left standing. No price, model roster, calculator budget or per-token rate moved.

Two roster drops in the same read. The pricing page’s compare table moved GPT-5.6 Luna off Go — its Go cell read Yes on 2026-09-13 and No on 2026-10-14 — leaving Go with GPT-6 Luna alone, while the retirement notice (learn.chatgpt.com/codex/models#gpt-55-retirement) closes GPT-5.5 for consumer plans: "On October 14, 2026, GPT-5.5 will retire from ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex on all plans, including consumer, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans." The compare matrix never carried a GPT-5.5 row — the model was carried only by the catch-all "Legacy models" row, and the 2026-10-14 retirement closes that carry. GPT-5.5 stays on the OpenAI API and remains served by other tracked providers — only the OpenAI consumer plans retire it.

OpenAI opened its consumer plan usage to third-party apps. With Sign in with ChatGPT, a Go, Plus or Pro subscriber can let a participating app run AI requests against the ChatGPT Work and Codex usage included in the plan — no API key is created or shared, each app gets a weekly cap set in Settings > Usage (a cap on the plan’s own allowance, not a separate pool), and apps can fall back to credits only after a separate opt-in. The plans’ tool records move from vendor-clients-only to the officially supported partner list, which OpenAI publishes alongside the feature; prices, allowances and model lists are unchanged.

Calculator disclosure: the Codex pricing page publishes local-message estimates per five-hour period for its Plus column — GPT-6 Astra 5-45, GPT-6.1 Sol 15-160, GPT-6 Sol 15-150 and GPT-6 Luna 350-3,000 — and states that Pro plans have no five-hour limit; it publishes no weekly figure. The ChatGPT Plus rows now show that published window in the 5h and burst columns, stored at the low end of each range (the only figure the provider guarantees) with the full range named on the row, and the plan’s notes no longer repeat per-model message estimates the provider has stopped publishing. The rate card, the monthly figure and the cost per request are unchanged: no per-token rate, plan price, allowance or model roster moved.

The codex pricing page covers Plus and Standard Business only and states "Pro plans currently have no five-hour limit", with a table of exactly four rows (GPT-6 Astra 5–45, GPT-6.1 Sol 15–160, GPT-6 Sol 15–150, GPT-6 Luna 350–3,000) and two columns. The per-model Pro message estimates still shown on ChatGPT Pro 5x and Pro 20x — GPT-6 Luna 1,750–14,000 / 7,000–56,000, GPT-6 Sol 70–700 / 300–3,000, plus GPT-5.6 Luna, GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra and Astra rows — are not published by the provider any more, so they were removed rather than kept and labelled as derived, and no replacement Pro figure was inferred. Both plan records and the calculator rule lines now carry what the page does say: local messages per five-hour period are estimated for Plus and Standard Business only, Pro plans have no five-hour limit, local messages and cloud chats share the plan allowance, and weekly limits may also apply. Prices, inclusion, model rosters, ceilings and every per-token rate are unchanged.
